Warm Greetings from the DDEX team. In the past month, we have made significant progress: we upgraded our trade interface, added ledger support, improved our UI/UX, were featured on The Wall Street Journal and The Information, recruited new members, designed family hoodies and T-shirts, and built partnerships with some fantastic project teams!
To begin with, we want to say thank you very much for your support along the way. DDEX officially released open beta in January of 2018. Since then we have rolled out a bunch of new improvements to the site, and trading volume is starting to increase. Step by step, our team has worked very hard to improve the platform and overall user experience.
The story many of you have been waiting for — after lots of requests, DDEX now offers Ledger Support. Read more about Setting up your Ledger Nano S on DDEX.
While viewing the trade interface on ddex, you can select your current digital wallet (currently MetaMask or Ledger) in the top right hand corner of the screen. If you have both a MetaMask and a ledger account, you can switch between them there. Otherwise it will show a visual icon for which you have selected.

Additional Development Updates
Some other changes we tackled over the past weeks include:
- Desktop Alert: This allows users to get notifications for completed trades and asks them for the permission when they submit an order.
- Unify volume units (ETH) for 24 hour volume data: On the Tickers Table, the 24 hour volume has converted to an ETH base unit. This makes it possible for users to compare volume among different trading pairs.
- Closed beta API: API keys are crucial to the security of users’ digital assets. Trading on DDEX — a Decentralized Exchange — our customers have 100% control of their API keys. Our closed beta API will be released shortly in the coming weeks. Whether you are a liquidity provider, market maker, or a decentralize exchange supporter, feel free to send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’d be happy to get you set up.
Early on we found users were extremely confused with the whole concept of WETH wrapping. We still get users who do not realize that there is no need for depositing ETH or tokens into the exchange. Also, users were confusing their own order management areas with the order book. There’s a strong learning curve for sure.
Hence, we added a few features to improve the natural flow of the website, increased understanding for when the user has to sign transactions in metamask, etc. User education is a massive part of the DEX game now, especially for 0x relayers in the early stages. Our FAQ page is a good place for new users to get started:

Getting New Tokens Listed on DDEX
There are thousands of different ERC-20 tokens. Choosing which tokens to list on our exchange is a complex process. The DDEX Team has always been searching for strong projects. Two spacial channels have opened for people who are interested in listing new tokens on DDEX. Either you are a team member who wants to get your project’s token listed, or you are unaffiliated with any projects and just want to see a token listed on DDEX. For both of these, you can now submit your request using the forms below to begin the token listing process:

DDEX announced strategic partnerships with Arcblock, Monaco, and CNN, which are all available for trading on DDEX! These projects have presented awesome use cases of blockchain technology. Although the use of blockchain technology for other applications is still in the early stages, we are seeing some promising developments.
In the News
DDEX has been featured in The Information and GEEKPARK, where Bowen discussed blockchain technology and decentralized exchanges. We were also discussed in an interview on The Wall Street Journal — Initialized Capital, the venture-capital firm co-founded by Alexis Ohanian, led a $2.1 million investment in DDEX.
